Fan is Not Functioning

Before checking fan components, please ensure the following conditions are currently present:

  1. Attic temperature exceeds 80 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. There is sunlight hitting the solar panel (clouds or shadows on the solar panel will diminish or eliminate solar power)

Follow the below steps to troubleshoot your GEN3 Attic Breeze

You will be working both in the attic and on the roof

From the Attic:

  1. Locate thermal and fire safety wiring harness at the base of your fan. (These will be the only wires located at the base of your fan.)
  2. Ensure the thermal and fire safety wiring harness is connected correctly. Press connections together firmly to ensure there is no silver showing between connectors and proceed to step 3.

From the Roof:

  1. Check to ensure the Solar Panel is positioned in the best location that the panel will receive the most sunlight throughout the day. (Attic Breeze suggests placing the solar panel on the South facing roof for best result with solar panel that is not elevated.)
    1. If needed, elevate the panel to be parallel with the ground (North/West/East facing roofs.) See attached solar panel optimization booklet for more exact positioning recommendations based on geography.
  2. Locate the solar panel wiring harness on the middle right bottom of the solar panel.
  3. Ensure the solar panel wiring harness is connected with the fan housing wiring harness by firmly pressing the two connections together until there is no silver showing between the connectors.
  4. Check for the proper operation of your Attic Breeze fan.
